Show and Tell

 

The National Curriculum 2014 makes reference to speaking and listening skills and we want the children to be clear and articulate speakers. With this in mind, we have revised how we do 'Show and Tell / News Time'. Many children enjoy telling the rest of the class about what they've been up to or they like to show objects from home. 

 

Starting on Friday 16th September we will have a different theme each week to discuss. This means children can talk to you at home about their ideas and rehearse what they are going to say before speaking to the class. 

 

I can't wait to see what the children come up with!

My Summer Holiday

The children enjoyed sharing their holiday news with the rest of the class. It was interesting to hear all of the fun things that they have been up to!

Myself and Mrs Turner were very impressed with all of the effort the children went to for this weeks Show and Tell! smiley

 

Josh made a fantastic tractor and trailer so that he could talk about crops.

 

Mason brought in a wonderful food parcel of delicious vegetables. He was very generous as he shared some of them with his friends. He has been listening carefully to our Christian value of 'Generosity'.

Today the children talked about 'Recycling' in Show and Tell.

 

Corvus recycled her rocket that she built as part of her homework and made a lovely

pencil holder.

 

Alfie made a great poster to show everyone how he helps recycle at home.

 

Eva and Scarlett brought examples of the types of materials that they recycle at home.

 

Harry and Paige brought in some pictures to show everyone their different recycling bins.

We had lots of interesting things brought in today for Show and Tell. The children had to bring in things starting with the first letter of their name.
