YEAR 5 PARENTS' WORSHIP 30TH NOVEMBER
Year 5 presented their special worship to the school and parents on Wednesday 30th November. The theme was gifts and gift bringers. We acted out the poem 'Twas the night before Christmas' by Clement Clarke Moore, which included a reindeer dance and Jingle Bells on hand bells. There were readings about Christmas traditions around the world and a lovely rendition of 'In the bleak mid-winter'. We closed with a reading of John chapter 3 verse 16 about God's gift of Jesus to the world and some prayers. Then we enjoyed a drink and a biscuit with our invited guests. It made us all feel like Christmas had really begun.
On Wednesday 26th October, we told the story of Samson. We talked about using our talents from God to help others.
The Garden of Eden
On 21st September, we told the story of Adam and Eve being sent out of the Garden of Eden. They were not grateful to God for His wonderful generosity. They wanted something they did not have and that caused all the trouble. Are you grateful for God's wonderful generosity to you?
