2019 - 2020

I hope you are all having fun with your learning at home. It has been lovely seeing some of your challenges on tapestry.

We have put together some more home learning challenges for you to try for this week.

There are lots of fun things for you to pick from.

You don't need to complete all of them, have a look and see which you like the look of the most.

Keep checking the website as we will keep adding more each week.

Home Learning Challenges - 2nd April to 9th April

Home Learning Challenges - 26th March to 2nd April

Spring Term 2020-Once Upon a Rhyme

We have been looking at Nursery rhymes, Pancake Poems and the Gingerbread Man Story.

We can hear rhyming words and suggest extra rhymes too.

We have made salt dough and then created the Gingerbread man character.  We painted our sculptures and added them to our role play kitchen to retell the Gingerbread man story.

We had fun celebrating pancake day.  We learnt to sing a pancake poem and tried to flip a pancake.  Everyone loved joining in with the pancake races in the hall and tasting pancakes too.

Look at our drawings of daffodils.  We have been looking out for signs of spring and saw that the bulbs we planted in Autumn have grown into daffodils.  We looked at the colours and patterns with magnifying glasses.

We love numbers! We are learning to write numbers correctly and we can use addition and subtraction language with a range of resources.  Look we are beginning to make number sentences and find out about number bonds to 5 and 10.
Autumn Term 2019
We have all been making friends and exploring our new school. Our class teddy took us on a tour of our school and showed us around. We met lots of new people along the way.
Learning outdoors can be fun and very rewarding. We have explored our outdoor environment and worked together to take our learning further while enjoying ourselves outside.
We have been learning our letters and numbers in daily phonics and maths lessons. Look at the fun ways that we learn.

Christmas!

We all love Christmas. It is a busy time of year, we have decorated our tree, made presents for Father Christmas in the construction corner. We have learnt new songs and dances in the nativity play and had fun with Christmas props.
