To start this new half term the children will be learning about multiplication. We have started by finding out and identifying equal and unequal groups. The children will also look at repeated addition before looking at arrays.
The children have been learning how to divide by sharing.
To link to their work on division the children have been learning about fractions of quantities. They have found halves and quarters of different amounts.
The children have been revising how to count in 2s, 5s and 10s over the last few weeks. They have been counting in lots of different ways and have worked hard to learn the matching number sentences off by heart.
The children have been learning about the properties of 2D and 3D shapes this week. They have been exploring shapes, going on shape hunts and making shape pictures. Super work!
The children have been learning about British coins and notes this week in Maths. They have also been counting coins to make different amounts. The Triangles group have especially loved the challenge of counting in pounds and pence!
