Several of our families are honoured by the Bamber Bridge Tree in centre of the town, which was unveiled in January 2017.  The sculpture pays tribute to individuals who bring or have brought character to the town.

The Bamber Bridge Walking Nativity

The choir from Cuerden Church School were very proud to take part in the first Bamber Bridge Walking Nativity alongside children from other local primary schools and members of several local churches.  The event was a huge success and brought a crowd of 400 people who followed the walk retelling the Christmas story.

Thank you Morrison's for our apple tree!

Mrs Aspden from Morrison's supermarket in Bamber Bridge presented the school with a special apple tree and lots of apples for us to try!  The Eco Council thanked her and arranged for the tree to be planted in the school grounds.

The Local Schools' Girls' Maths Project

Cuerden Church School is working in collaboration with other primary schools in the area on a project aiming to raise confidence and attainment of girls.  We were delighted to host 70 delegates at the initial meeting to launch the project in September 2016.

Cuerden Church School hosted training for other local primary schools in preparation for the 2016 'Dance from the Heart Event'.  It was a great afternoon as we worked together on a dance based on 'Sporting Heroes' which included sections based on sports including football and boxing!

Look out for further details of the event in the summer term.
