At Cuerden Church School the learning of a modern language is deemed essential in order to provide our pupils with a curriculum which will adequately prepare them for secondary education and in the world of work. We recognise the broader benefit that learning a language can have on pupils; such as a greater depth of understanding of their native language, improvements in grammatical knowledge, improved memory and recall, alongside promoting acceptance, compassion and appreciation of different cultures and people.
