Playtime Leaders who run the Change for Life Lunchtime Club
At the end of September our new Playtime Leaders were appointed. A big well done to Amy, Tegan, Alannah and Bartek from Year 5! On Tuesday 8th October these children visited Wellfield High School to participate in a training event. They worked well alongside children from other local schools to learn a variety of games. The children will then work with the welfare staff to organise activities at lunchtimes to encourage other children to be active.
Children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 have had an absolutely fabulous time over the last 5 weeks working with Danielle from South Ribble Sports Development to put together a cheerleading routine.
In the last week of the club several members of staff watched their final performance and couldn't believe all of the stunts and dance moves that the children had learnt. Super work everybody!
Children in Reception and Year 1 have enjoyed participating in Fun Fitness this half term which has been taught by Andy from the South Ribble Sports Development Team.
At the beginning of February the school football team began training in preparation for our upcoming tournament. Despite the wind the children played various games and showed good teamwork skills. Keep checking this page for more updates when our team is selected and to see how we get on at the tournament.
