Autumn 1
All About me
Our first topic begins by having a tour of our school and becoming familiar with the building and people inside. We then talk about our families and look at ourselves talking about how we all look a little different to each other. We begin to recognize and write our own names. We discuss all the emotions and feelings that we may feel throughout the day. We explore the outdoor classroom and work hard to form new friendships and look after each other. Phonics activities begin by hearing, saying, reading and writing the phonemes and graphemes at phase 2. Maths starts by grouping and sorting objects followed by measures and pattern.
