All about me
During our first week at school we have a tour of our new school and become familiar with the building and the people who are inside. We then talk about our families and look at ourselves and talk about how we are all a little bit different to each other. We start recognising and writing our names. We discuss the emotions and feelings that we feel throughout the day. We explore the outdoor area and form new friendships. Phonics activities begin by hearing, saying, reading and writing the phonemes and graphemes at phase 2. Maths starts by grouping and sorting objects followed by measures and pattern.
