Autumn Term

Football Club

Children in Year 5 and Year 6 have worked with Mush, a coach from the South Ribble Active Health Team to participate in a Football after school club. The children have learnt the skills needed to play football in preparation for a competition later this half term.

Boys Football competition

This half term children from Year 5 and Year 6 have attended a weekly football tournament ran by the South Ribble Active Health Team. The boys showed great teamwork skills and thoroughly enjoyed representing school even in the rainy and windy weather! A big well done to everyone who participated and a special thank you to all of the families who came to support them each week.

Girls football competition

In October, children from Year 5 and Year 6 attended a Girls Football tournament at Withy Grove. Fifteen local schools participated so our team played in several matches each week. For some of the children who went along it was the first time that they have played football competitively. Throughout the tournament, the team displayed outstanding teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. Each match was a testament to their hard work and passion for the game.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the fantastic achievement of our girls football team, who secured 5th place out of 15 teams!

Target Sports

This half term children from Year 3 and Year 4 have participated in a 'Target Sports' after school club with Mush from the South Ribble Active Health Team. They have learnt different skills to play a variety of games and have enjoyed working together in teams.
