Homework in Year 3

 

Homework activities will be put into your child's Homework Book each Monday. Please send completed work back to school every Friday.

 

 

Reading - Reading books will be sent home each Monday and need to be returned every Friday. Your child should read every night at home. Reading books can be read more than once to develop sight vocabulary, comprehension, fluency and expression. 

 

Spellings - Children receive a new spelling list each Monday ready for a test on Friday. Spelling activities to support this will be put into Homework Books. This means that the children can practise their spellings at home before the test. Spelling books will be marked so you can see how your child did during the test. 

 

Maths - Times tables will be set every Monday ready for a test on a Friday. Your child will move to the next level once they have got them correct. Every child has a Times Table Rockstars login to help them practise. Activities may also be set on My Maths.
