Geography

We have been learning all about the United Kingdom this term in Geography. The children have identified places that they have visited and located the four countries of the UK. We have used a variety of maps and atlases to identify UK cities, rivers, hills and seas. 

Computing 

The children have enjoyed visiting the ICT Suite and using the iPads this half term in Computing. They have used their Purple Mash logins to learn all about typing. We have also discussed Online Safety during our lessons.

PSHE

During our PSHE lessons this half term we have been discussing friendship. The children have described what a friend is and what qualities a good friend needs to have by creating a 'friendship recipe'.

Art

The children have thoroughly been enjoying using their 'Junior' sketchbooks in Art! They have been learning about sketching using different materials. We have studied the artist Pablo Picasso and have explored his work. The children have experimented with creating their own self-portraits in different ways. Great work, Year 3!  

PE 

This half term the children have learnt all about football during their coaching sessions with Jake from South Ribble Sports Development. The children have learnt how to control the ball and pass it in different ways.
